Terms of Service

1. What CineOS provides

CineOS provides information about films and cinema screenings — titles, synopses, cast and crew, certificates, trailers, release dates, and showtimes — together with links that hand you over to a cinema’s own website to complete a booking. CineOS is an information and referral service. We are not a cinema, a ticket agent, or a seller of tickets.

2. Bookings, payments and refunds

CineOS does not sell tickets and does not take payment. When you choose to book, you leave CineOS and complete your purchase on the relevant cinema or ticketing provider’s website, subject to their terms and privacy policy. Your contract for any ticket is with that provider, not with us. All questions about bookings, seating, changes, cancellations and refunds must be directed to the provider you booked with.

3. Accuracy of showtimes and film information

We take accuracy seriously: CineOS surfaces showtimes obtained from licensed data sources and refreshed regularly, and it does not fabricate screenings or booking links. Even so, cinema schedules change frequently and at short notice, and listings may be incomplete, delayed or incorrect. The cinema’s own website is always the authoritative source. You should confirm times, formats, prices and certificates with the cinema before travelling or purchasing.

CineOS is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. We do not warrant that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that any particular film, cinema or screening will be listed.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

use CineOS for any unlawful purpose; scrape, bulk-download, harvest or systematically extract data from the service; interfere with or place undue load on our infrastructure; attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the service or its underlying systems; or misrepresent CineOS data as your own or as coming from a cinema or distributor.

5. Third-party content and trade marks

Film metadata and artwork are sourced in part from The Movie Database. This product uses the TMDB API but is not endorsed or certified by TMDB. Showtime data is provided through licensed data partners. Film titles, posters, trailers, logos and cinema brand names remain the property of their respective owners and are used for identification and editorial purposes. CineOS is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any cinema, studio or distributor unless expressly stated.

6. Our intellectual property

The CineOS name, brand, interface, and the compilation, curation and presentation of the data we publish are owned by Kindred Enterprises LTD and protected by applicable law. These terms grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, revocable licence to use CineOS for your own non-commercial purposes.

7. Privacy

CineOS has no user accounts and does not build personal profiles. Our Privacy Policy explains what limited data we handle — a coarse location used to rank nearby showtimes, and non-identifying booking-referral records — and why.

8. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, CineOS will not be liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for any loss arising from reliance on listing information — including missed screenings, travel costs, or ticket prices — or from your dealings with any cinema or ticketing provider. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.

9. Changes to the service and these terms

We may change, suspend or discontinue any part of CineOS, and may update these terms as the service develops. Material changes will be reflected here with a revised “last updated” date. Continued use after a change constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, save that consumers may benefit from mandatory protections under the law of their country of residence.
